1. How do I order a custom watercolor painting?
Custom commissions open on the 1st of each month, and it's super easy to place your order! Just head over to the ‘Custom Artwork’ section on my website, select your piece, fill in the order form and send me a photograph of the person, pet, or object you'd like me to paint asap. I’ll keep you updated as I bring your custom artwork to life over the next 4-6 weeks!

2. How can I make sure I don’t miss the next commission drop?
If you don’t want to miss the next commission drop, you can add your email address on my homepage to join the waiting list! You’ll get a reminder when commissions open on the 1st of the month.

3. What’s the lead time for custom commissions?
Custom pieces usually take 4-6 weeks to complete. If you need your painting by a specific date, just let me know when you place your order! I’ll always do my best to accommodate and may even work some magic if you need it sooner.

4. Do I need to provide a photo for my custom piece?
Yes, I need a photo to create a representation of your artwork. Once you place your order, you can send it to me via email at sarahkellyillustrations@gmail.com.

5. Can I order via email or Instagram?
I’m all about making sure your order is processed smoothly, so all custom orders need to come through my website during the commission drop. Orders placed through email or Instagram can’t be processed, but don't worry—you’ll get reminders to ensure you never miss the next drop!

6. Can you create other types of artwork besides portraits?
Definitely! I love creating custom pieces based on meaningful objects, places, or quotes. If you’ve got an idea, let me know! Send me an email with your idea— I would love to chat

7. What materials do you use for your artwork?
I use high-quality watercolour paper (most often Archers 300gsm) and professional-grade watercolour paints to make sure your piece looks its best. On occasions, for finer details I will sometimes use Artline Fineline pens (0.4mm), which helps give the artwork that finishing touch.

8. I have a larger project in mind. Can you help?
I love big projects! If you've got something in mind that’s a little outside the box, just email me. I’d love to chat with you about your idea and see how we can make it happen!

9. How are my custom pieces packaged and delivered safely?
All custom pieces are carefully packaged to ensure they arrive safely. I use sturdy cardboard to prevent bending, a protective plastic sleeve for water resistance, and a rigid mailer for extra protection. If something goes wrong with your delivery, just let me know, and we’ll figure it out together!

10. Do you offer refunds?
I truly want you to love your custom piece! If you're not happy with your order, please reach out within 7 days of receiving it. I’ll do everything I can to make it right, I am not happy unless you are happy!
